This page sets the boundaries of the CPS service in plain terms. It matters for facilities deciding what they are buying, and it matters for the staff members taking part.
Last updated: 22 September 2026
CPS is not an emergency service and nothing in the platform is monitored in real time. In an emergency in Australia, call 000. If someone has had a fall, a sudden severe injury, chest pain, numbness, loss of movement or any other symptom that worries them, they should seek medical care straight away rather than using the CPS portal.
Care Performance Systems provides workplace movement, ergonomics, manual handling training and early support in an occupational setting. It does not diagnose conditions, does not provide treatment, and does not replace assessment or advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified health professional.
Assessment results, movement screens and scores produced by CPS describe how someone moves in relation to the demands of their role. They are not clinical findings and should not be read as such by a facility or by the individual.
CPS does not claim to predict who will be injured, to prevent injuries, or to reduce injury rates, claims or lost time. No assessment can do that reliably, and we will not say otherwise to win work. What CPS offers is a structured, documented programme and a clear route to the right care early.
Early Symptom Support is a guided self-report tool. It provides general self-care information and points the person toward the right next step. It does not diagnose, it is not monitored in real time, and it is not a medical record.
It does not replace your facility's incident reporting or workers compensation processes. If an event is reportable under your workplace policy or under work health and safety law, it must still be reported through your normal channels.
Movement programmes are general workplace conditioning, built from a person's own screen results. Anyone taking part should work within a comfortable range, stop if something causes pain, and check with their own health professional first if they are pregnant, recovering from an injury or surgery, or managing any condition that affects exercise. Taking part is voluntary.
Any self-care or technique guidance in the portal, including soft tissue and mobility guidance, is general information for a workplace audience. It is not tailored medical advice, it is not suitable for every person or every situation, and it should be stopped immediately if it causes pain, numbness, dizziness or any symptom that worsens.
Engaging CPS does not transfer or reduce a facility's own duties under work health and safety law, its accreditation obligations, or its responsibility for safe systems of work, equipment, staffing and supervision. CPS supports those duties; it does not discharge them.
Everything on this website is general information about the service. It may change as the service develops. What CPS will deliver for a particular facility is set out only in that facility's signed service agreement.
